Community Energy Solutions in Yorks & Humber

Community Energy Solutions in Yorkshire & Humber

Tuesday 29 April 2014, 9.30-3.30
Large Function Room, St George’s Centre, Great George Street, Leeds LS1 3BR

Energy is in the news – the rising cost of bills, increasing fuel poverty and worries about the security of supplies. Communities that come together to find the right solutions to their energy needs can form a part of the answer and could be better off financially and socially for it. There are successful projects in urban and rural areas of Yorkshire and Humber and the North East but maybe there is more potential.

In partnership with Northern Powergrid, Involve Yorkshire & Humber and VONNE have set up this conference to explore these issues. The conference will look at the potential of community energy, learn from real experience and consider the barriers that groups often face.

There will be expert speakers and people who have set up projects.  For more info see
