Hull ‘Feeding the City’ workshop Thu 11th of January 2018
In our rapidly urbanising UK population, we’re struggling to feed ourselves sustainably. From production to processing and distribution to disposal, our cities are littered with examples of how not to do it.
So how do we change the ways we think about produce, distribution and the way we feed ourselves in cities?
Feeding the City, is a fully funded, 12 month programme that supports sustainable food businesses to launch. The programme is open to teams whose business can add real value to the communities they are serving. Successful applicants will receive guidance from business and food experts throughout 2018, receive bursaries and meet with investors.
Hull Sustainable Food City is excited to be a part of this programme by hosting one of the first events; an Ideation Workshop on January 11th, 6-9pm at Jubilee Central, King Edward Street, Hull. At this event, attendees will hear about the programme and also talks from food experts about the current problems in urban food systems. There will then be an idea-generating workshop to facilitate people to create and develop solutions.
