Home Grown Hornsea

Community group Home Grown Hornsea hosted a conference entitled Hornsea 2032 on Sunday 15 January 2012 from 3.00-6.00pm in the new Town Hall on Newbegin.

After an introduction from the Mayor of Hornsea and a showing of the film ‘The Power of Community’, the group launched its Community Orchard scheme set to begin in February on spare land behind the new Tesco’s site. It introduced some ideas for meeting the major challenges of the coming years and encouraged participants to develop a communal vision of how they would like to see the town develop by 2032. There was free local food, refreshments and children’s activities. The group is supported by The Coop Community Fund, HARP, The Lions, Let’s Go Hornsea and Children and Family Action.
