We have two film showings coming up:
The Economics of Happiness
Mon 13 February, 7.45 pm Boulevard Village Hall
The Economics of Happiness is an inspiring feel-good documentary made in 2011. The film features many voices from across the world calling for economic change. While government and big business continue to promote globalization and corporate power, people are starting to resist those policies. Communities are coming together to re-build more human scale, ecological economies based on an economics of localization.
A Simpler Way: Crisis as Opportunity
Mon 13 March, 7.45 pm Boulevard Village Hall
A Simpler Way : Crisis as Opportunity is a feature-length documentary made with a budget crowdfunded by supporters. Using footage taken in 2015 in a community in Gippsland, Australia, members of the community explore and demonstrate a simpler way to live in response to global crises. Throughout the year they build tiny houses, plant veggie gardens, practice simple living, and discover the challenges of living in community.
Both films are FREE and will be followed by refreshments and discussion
