Wild Foraging Workshops Sat 26 June 2021

Down to Earth in Hull will be running a series of foraging walks throughout Sat 26 June when they hope to introduce you to a range of wild plants that can be eaten or used for other domestic purposes. A one-hour, hands-on workshop focusing on how to identify and safely forage a variety of plants will be offered at various times throughout the day.

Taking a steady walk around ‘The Plot’, Down to Earth’s 1 acre community site comprising mature woodland, tree nursery, mini-orchard, nature pond and food growing area – they will highlight the native species growing there will be highlighted and their culinary and medicinal value to humans will be discussed, as well as their importance for wildlife.

Participants may wish to bring their own drink, as no refreshments are provided at these short workshops.
