MON 19 NOV:  Permaculture in your Lifestyle

 A talk about how aspects of your life e.g. home, garden, work, can be changed for the better by using Permaculture. The talk will be given by the Permaculture Ambassador for the Hull area, Lausanne Tranter, who will lead the discussion afterwards.

The film ‘Tomorrow‘ is a documentary film which focuses on solutions to the environmental challenges we face and has had some excellent reviews. It has not yet been shown in Hull, and we have organised a screening on

Regarded as an optimistic film, it identifies initiatives that have proven themselves valuable in ten different countries around the world. These concrete solutions to environmental and social challenges of the twenty-first century include examples from agriculture, energy, economy, education and governance.  Entry is FREE and the film will be followed by a discussion and refreshments

Hull Vegan Festival Sat 15 Sept 2018

The Hull Vegan Festival will take place on Sat 15 September from 10am to 4pm at the Mortimer Suite in Hull City Hall, Carr Lane, Hull HU1 3RQ

Delicious vegan food, entertainment, stalls, talks and a chance to network. This informative event open to all. You don’t need to be vegan to attend, but are welcome to come along and see the great variety of stalls and food to sample. There will also be educational and inspiring talks, information, and advice. Enjoy some live, acoustic, music and entertainment while enjoying some delicious food and drinks from the hot food caterers. All proceeds to animal rescue.

Permaculture Weekend in Beverley 7-9 Sept 2018

There are still places on this residential weekend for young people interested in permaculture. Participants should be between 18 and 30 years old. The course is being held in the YHA at Beverley Friary, and starts with a meal in a local restaurant on the Friday evening and includes a visit to Frith Farm on the Sunday.

The weekend is grant funded, with a nominal suggested donation of £15. All training, accommodation and most meals will be included for the duration of the weekend. There will also be bursaries available to help towards travel costs.

Willow Weaving 26 Aug 2018

Join us for another day of willow weaving at Constable Community Allotment! You’ll learn how to weave willow shapes and animal sculptures with Graham Johnson. Learn the techniques and even make something to take home! Children especially welcome to take part!
