Permaculture Weekend in Beverley 7 – 9 Sept 2018

There are still places on this residential weekend for young people interested in permaculture. Participants should be between 18 and 30 years old. The course is being held in the YHA at Beverley Friary, and starts with a meal in a local restaurant on the Friday evening and includes a visit to Frith Farm on the Sunday.

The weekend is grant funded, with a nominal suggested donation of £15. All training, accommodation and most meals will be included for the duration of the weekend. There will also be bursaries available to help towards travel costs.

Permaculture Ambassador for the Hull area                


The Permaculture Association has appointed Lausanne Tranter as Permaculture Ambassador for the Hull area from the beginning of 2014, as part of their Permaculture Ambassadors Programme. The aim of the programme is to promote permaculture and share information on projects and developments.

Room to Rent at Green Gardens in Beverley, near Hull 

Room to rent in old terrace cottage near Beverley town centre. £60 per week to include internet access and bills. Here at Green Gardens we embrace the Permaculture principles, earthcare, people care and fair share. We have a front room available from the end of March to October with the possibility of a longer let. Camp at Green Gardens in Beverley, near Hull

Green Gardens embraces the permaculture ethics such as: Care of the Earth, Care of People & Fair Share. We are close to Beverley Minster and Town Centre, there is a bus stop across the road and the train station is a 15 minutes walk away, ideal for walkers, cyclists or persons using public transport. Two-person pop-up tents available on request. We have a chiminea and rocket stoves with free firewood. We stock some provisions from a local whole food supplier & if you are lucky, homemade jam, chutney etc. If the weather is not great, there is a large shed with kettle, washing up bowls, games, jigsaws and books. The cost is £5 per person, per night. Ring Sally & Luke on: 07907843778

Transition & Permaculture Hull Mailing List

Transition & Permaculture Hull has an email mailing list which is a good way to find out what is going on locally. The emphasis is on environmental projects, developments and issues in Hull and the adjacent areas of East Yorkshire. To join the email list send a message via the contact form on this website. Before Transition Hull merged with the Hull Permaculture Network, the site at was the main local site. Content is being migrated to the Transition & Permaculture Hull site, after which the Network site will be taken down.


Local Permaculture Sites

There are as yet no Learning and Network Demonstration (LAND) sites, as approved by the Permaculture Association, in the Hull area. However there are a number of sites being developed by people interested in Permaculture. Transition & Permaculture Hull arranged a number of site visits during 2016 and 2017 and will be visiting more sites in 2018.
